Hello there, I am Stefan Pfaffel, a Software Architect and Agile Leader from Germany, currently living in Spain.

My Journey

I started as a Software Engineer in the insurance industry engineer roughly 10 years ago, developing and operating business-critical web applications based on AngularJS and Spring Boot.

Only a few years later, as I was able to quickly digest, understand and successfully pass on how to build and run cloud applications, I become the Tech Lead for a large-scale cloud migration project tasked with migrating around 300 applications to state-of-the-art cloud platforms.

Architecting the Future

Since 2021, I have worked as an Architect in an international project with customers in, e.g., Australia, Germany, France, Spain. I lead a team of Cloud Engineers and Architects - based in Thailand, Munich, and Spain - focused on providing in-house CRM software solutions to end-users in the aforementioned countries.

Leading for Innovation and Collaboration

With my move from Germany to Spain, I also started a new role as a disciplinary leader. In Barcelona, I built and lead an international team with team members coming from 3 different continents, and 8 different countries. Together we foster the collaboration between Spain and Germany by introducing a new and international way-of-working.
